BONNEAU DU MARTRAY
Bonneau du Matray has been run since 1993 by Jean Charles de la Morniere, an architect, who has returned to the 11 ha family property to manage it. The vineyard is on the side of the great Corton Hill, near Pernand, and whilst it is one continuous site, the parcels of grapes are treated separately in the winery to maintain the individual characteristics, allowing them to reflect as one great wine. Maturation is 33% in new oak for 12 months, the wines is blended and then assembled for a further 6 months of oak maturation. Since 1994 Jean-Charles le Bault de la Morinière has been fine-tuning the estate that his father brought back to life.
